Pilgrimages

In October 2004 our church again made a pilgrimage “In the Footsteps of Paul” -- this time retracing his missionary itineraries through what is now Greece and culminating in Rome. Again participating with daily drama (enacted by the pilgrims) and lecture/discussions (presented by the pastors), we traveled westward from Istanbul, including stops in Philippi, Corinth, Thessaloniki, Athens, and Meteora in Greece. We culminated the trip with several days appreciating the splendors and history of Rome, and the faithfulness of the apostle Paul. 

In October 2002, a group of adults from our church made a pilgrimage to Turkey (Asia Minor in the New Testament)—“In the Footsteps of Paul.”  We visited the sites of those churches Paul helped to establish and other locations important on his journeys. We also visited the sites of those churches mentioned in Revelation, and places of contemporary importance. Set within a background of preparation and daily teaching from our pastors, this was a magnificent opportunity for many.
